Donors and donors' families
Inpatients (hospitalized patients)
Organ transplantation is a pinnacle of modern medicine, merging advanced technology with human compassion. Guided by the belief in “respect for life and the transmission of great love,” the Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) transplant team provides high-quality, comprehensive care and is among the few centers in Taiwan performing multiple organ transplants. Our multidisciplinary team includes surgeons, internal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and nutritionists. Experienced surgeons lead procedures with support from hepatologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, and critical care teams, ensuring safe and seamless care from evaluation to follow-up. Transplant coordinators and social workers assist patients and families with organ registration, psychological support, and life reintegration, offering holistic care. TSGH also participates in Taiwan’s national organ donation system, ensuring each organ reaches its full potential. TSGH has successfully performed numerous liver, kidney, lung, and heart transplants, with outcomes and survival rates meeting international standards. Each transplant is a continuation of love and a testament to teamwork and expertise. The TSGH team remains committed to professionalism, empathy, and hope, safeguarding every patient’s second chance at life.
We integrate a multidisciplinary medical team collaboration to provide whole-person, whole-family, whole-team, and whole-process compassionate care. The Organ Care System (OCS team) diligently maintains the donor's vital signs, initiates the first park-style organ donation life memorial park, and perpetually preserves the spirit of great love. Annual organ donation remembrance and gratitude activities, from the discovery and solicitation of potential donors, the donor care process, all the way to the retrieval surgery and body care, are guided by comprehensive standard operating procedures. We integrate military organ donation medical resources, establish and provide a military-exclusive organ donation consultation platform, enter people's lives, implement localized promotion, and extend the concept of donation outward.
