Target Population

Trauma, acute care, and critical care patients


Description

Established in July 1991, this institution founded the 'Department of Acute Care and Trauma Surgery,' the only department nationwide dedicated to emergency and trauma medicine, and became the first medical center in Taiwan to establish a trauma team. The clinical nursing services focus primarily on trauma, acute, and critical care patients, implementing the 3 'R's nursing care system:resuscitation、reconstruction、rehabilitation

  • Equipped with TNTP (Trauma Nurse Training Program) teaching capabilities and a well-equipped OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) classroom to assist medical centers in training and cultivating trauma nurse practitioners

  • Pioneered the nation's first emergency triage classification, barcoded patient identification and management, and computerized nursing documentation systems, serving as a benchmarking site for medical centers nationwide

  • Benchmarking site visits: 23 personnel for overall ER operations, 35 for emergency trauma and critical care nursing, 30 for nursing information systems, and 49 for the Emergency Trauma and Critical Care Center

  • Won First Place and the Award of Excellence for nursing product innovation from the Nurses Association in 2008
