Bone and soft tissue tumor(sarcoma)patients
Gastrointestinal stromal tumor patients
Complex bone/soft tissue consultation cases
Patients requiring molecular pathology for diagnosis confirmation
Prof. Huang Syuan-Ying of CGMHK's Anatomic Pathology Department leads Taiwan's most comprehensive bone and soft tissue tumor pathology service, established after a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (2001–2003). He has served as the National Health Research Institutes' bone/soft tissue pathology consultant since 2004, chairs the Taiwan Society of Pathology Bone and Soft Tissue Study Group, and is a full member of ISBSTP. Over 1,147 consultation cases accumulated in 10 years from major medical centers nationwide. Integrating molecular pathology (FISH, RT-PCR, IHC) with novel markers (FUS, MUC4, MDM2, STAT6), the team dramatically improved diagnostic accuracy. 48 SCI papers since 2002 (40 as first/corresponding author); cited over 500 times; representative papers in Clinical Cancer research, modern pathology, and American Journal of Pathology, etc.
