The Fu Jen Catholic University Sports Medicine Center adheres to the vision and mission of Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital and is guided by three core principles.
First, holistic care: we do not merely treat an injured body part, but consider the patient’s overall condition, encompassing physical health, psychological well-being, and even aspects of daily life.
Second, social responsibility: our services extend beyond elite athletes to include the general public.
Third, the pursuit of world-class excellence.
The values of "Veritas、Bonitas、Pulchritudo、Sanctitas " embody our commitment to delivering care with sincerity and professionalism, ensuring the highest level of safety and establishing ourselves as a team worthy of the greatest trust.
From the initial medical intervention at the first consultation, through rehabilitation training, and ultimately to both subjective and objective return-to-play assessments, each stage is reviewed by qualified professionals to ensure safety and continuity of care without gaps. Most importantly, we provide individualized, one-on-one care rather than standardized protocols, allowing for the most precise planning tailored to each patient’s specific needs and surgical procedures.
An average of approximately 881 outpatient visits per month
Approximately 300 rehabilitation treatment sessions per month
More than 1,000 professional athletes cared for annually
Our team has a high service capacity and operates with strong efficiency. More importantly, the completion rate of post-operative rehabilitation exceeds 90%, indicating that patients are willing to follow our care pathway through its entirety and demonstrating that our treatment model is both effective and trustworthy.
We have established a multidisciplinary consultation system, regular case review meetings, and structured treatment handover protocols to ensure that no aspect of care is overlooked.
In parallel, an adverse event reporting mechanism has been implemented to enable continuous risk monitoring.
Through ongoing education and training programs, physicians and therapists are supported in continuously enhancing their professional expertise.
An average patient satisfaction score of 4.7
Following the pandemic, we have continued to send physicians and team members abroad for advanced training and site visits, bringing international standards to the center to ensure ongoing quality and professional development.
Through internal education programs and domestic and international exchanges—for example, collaborations with National Taiwan University Hospital’s Orthopedics Department and the Hospital for Special Surgery—we ensure that our processes are continuously optimized.
We aim to establish a recognizable brand in sports medicine, allowing the public to better understand our value, while ensuring that sustainable operations are grounded in consistent quality. Through brand equity, customized care pathways, and corporate social responsibility, we create a positive cycle that not only delivers medical services but also gives back to society. By actively cultivating professional talent, we ensure that medical quality remains stable even as the scale of operations expands, thereby enhancing patient safety and overall health.
