For years, Shuang Ho Hospital has aligned itself with the government's medical diplomacy policy. In accordance with the "Palau Declaration"—signed in 2006 between Taiwan and its diplomatic allies in the South Pacific—the hospital launched the "Taiwan Health Center Project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands" in 2013. By dispatching medical personnel to serve in the Marshall Islands, a diplomatic ally, the hospital leverages its strengths in healthcare to deepen positive interactions and cooperative ties with the host nation, thereby highlighting Taiwan's significant role in international health assistance.
