Target Population

All inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients, and community residents under COVID-19 pandemic comprehensive care

Description

Nursing has always been the largest segment of the medical system, committed to patient safety and care quality. Since SARS in 2003, KMUH Department of Nursing has continuously delivered infection control training for 17 years. Following COVID-19, the hospital established an Emergency Response Team on Jan 24, 2020 with twice-daily meetings. Under Director Li-Chin Chen, the nursing team actively engaged in hospital care, community education, school outreach, and institutional consultation, achieving zero in-hospital COVID-19 infection. The team was recognized by the Taiwan Nurses Association at the COVID-19 Nursing Appreciation Conference on Aug 20, 2020.
