Target Population

.Acute kidney injury patients

.Chronic kidney disease patients

.Hemodialysis patients

.Peritoneal dialysis patients

.Kidney transplant patients

.High-risk kidney patients

Description

The hospital established Taiwan's first Net Zero Kidney Care Center based on core healthcare services. Following the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Green-K initiative, the program integrates four key strategies: digital transformation, disease prevention, low-carbon healthcare, and circular economy. It provides comprehensive care across the entire kidney disease continuum, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. Through intelligent digital systems, early disease prevention, optimized dialysis processes, medical waste recycling, and RO wastewater reuse, the center improves clinical outcomes while reducing healthcare-related carbon emissions. This innovative model combines high-quality patient care with environmental sustainability and resource efficiency, creating a scalable benchmark for sustainable healthcare and net-zero medical transformation in Taiwan.
