Committed to building Taiwan’s most beautiful ecological hospital and a “medical center in a garden,” with sustainable development at its core, actively promoting environmental protection, social inclusion, and healthcare governance, and fully aligning with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
Ecological Habitat Creation: Centered on “Forget-Worry Lake,” comprehensively enhancing plant diversity and green coverage in the surrounding environment.
Innovative Resource Circulation:Continuously advancing the application and optimization of the “Forget-Worry Lake Underground Spring Multi-Layer Water Recycling System,” extending the benefits of water resource circulation to more areas across the hospital campus.
In 2024, a cumulative total of 221 staff participations in sustainability training programs were recorded, representing an increase of approximately 2.5 times compared to 2023.
Forget-Worry Lake and the Baxian Canal green space are open year-round, attracting community members for walking and leisure, with an average daily footfall exceeding 100 visitors.
More than ten domestic and international institutional visits were hosted, during which Taipei Veterans General Hospital’s practices in ecological healthcare and energy conservation and carbon reduction were shared.
Zhongzheng Building Underground Spring Water Recovery System:From 2013 to 2024, a total of 1,587,416 metric tons of water were recovered.
Elevator Replacement Program:41 outdated elevators were replaced with energy-efficient elevators equipped with power regeneration systems. From commissioning through the end of December 2024 (ROC Year 113), approximately 3,894,993 kWh of electricity were saved.
