The Drug Testing Center of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Chung Shan Medical University Hospital, established in 1997, has long been the only medical institution in central Taiwan accredited by the former Bureau of Controlled Drugs, Department of Health as a “Urine Drug Abuse Testing Laboratory.” It is also the only hospital among the five accredited hospitals nationwide that conducts large-scale urine drug testing.The Center provides comprehensive testing services for drugs of abuse using a wide range of biological specimens, including urine, hair, oral fluid (saliva), and nails. In addition, it has established an ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system to ensure compliance with international standards and promote global recognition of its testing capabilities.
