Manufacturing Process: Using natural yeast, the yeast is aseptically activated and cultured, scaled up to a ton-scale fermentation tank for high-density fermentation. The fermentation broth undergoes centrifugation, extraction, and freeze-drying before being proportionally mixed and low-temperature ground, finally filling into capsules.

The Chairman and R&D team of Teh sheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. learned by chance that Professor Tsai Kuo-Chen of National Taiwan Ocean University had isolated Saccharomyce pastorianus strain No. 54 from a brewery environment, which possesses hypoglycemic activity. They subsequently contacted National Taiwan Ocean University to conduct technology transfer, hoping to obtain exclusive authorization for this strain and related technologies. After the technology was transferred to the pharmaceutical company, and through several years of effort, the strain can now be cultivated in large quantities and developed into products. It is hoped that this yeast product with blood sugar regulating effects can bring health benefits to the people of Taiwan.
In addition to GTF, brewer's yeast also contains polydextrose and cysteine, among other components. Polydextrose and cysteine have also been proven to have blood sugar regulating effects. Therefore, polydextrose is used as a quality control indicator (quantitatively) during product development.Teh shen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. commissioned Taipei Medical University to conduct experiments, including blood sugar regulation efficacy evaluation, pathological toxicity tests, and animal efficacy experiments. The data and safety assessment confirmed that the product is safe and has the health benefits of regulating blood sugar.
