Target Population

For people needing long-term care for chronic illness, post-acute conditions such as stroke or paralysis, and older adults with dementia or reduced self-care ability.

Description

Guided by the five core missions of Xingtian Temple—religion, charity, culture, education, and healthcare—we uphold a person-centered philosophy of “treating every resident like family.” With sincerity, compassion, dignity, safety, and warmth at the heart of our care, we provide integrated long-term care services through a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, caregivers, social workers, dietitians, physical and occupational therapists, and pharmacists. Our comprehensive services include medical care, nursing, rehabilitation, pharmacy support, nutrition management, daily living assistance, and wellness activity programs. Each professional works collaboratively to deliver holistic physical, psychological, and social care tailored to residents’ individual needs. We are committed to enhancing quality of life for both residents and families by supporting older adults with chronic illness, functional decline, or long-term care needs. Through meaningful engagement and supportive care, we help residents rediscover their strengths, rebuild confidence and self-worth, and develop positive adaptation to aging and health challenges. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and home-like environment where residents can age with comfort, dignity, and purpose.

Key Highlights

  • Since October 2018, we have introduced the “Hot Plus Interactive Health Service System,” a virtual reality–based activity program designed to enhance residents’ physical and cognitive engagement through task-oriented interactions such as grabbing, stepping, and object selection.

  • In October 2020, in collaboration with Taipei Medical University, two “SODA Cognitive Training Systems” were implemented to support older adults’ cognitive health by improving reaction ability, attention, coordination, and memory.

  • Nursing Information System: Since 2016, our nursing care documentation has been managed through a digital long-term care information system. Nurses complete standardized assessments and electronic records during each shift, including residents’ demographic information, medical history, emotional status, frailty assessment, ADL, IADL, pressure injury risk, health habits, physical assessment, fall risk, and SPMSQ cognitive evaluation.

  • The system also supports institutional quality indicator collection, data reporting, and secure record preservation. Since 2023, the platform has been integrated with Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare Nursing Care Management System to synchronize facility information, staff rosters, and resident records, enabling comprehensive documentation, efficient medical record management, and accurate data analysis throughout each resident’s care journey.
