Kaohsiung Municipal Minsheng Hospital has a residential long-term care facility -Flying Elephant Garden, which is the country's first dedicated care area for severe disabilities caused by severe child abuse.It mainly takes in children aged 0 to 18 who have severe disabilities and require medical care, with the focus on abused children.Provide long-term care, emergency placement and respite services, build an environment with therapeutic care that is consistent with children's survival and human rights, integrate medical care, rehabilitation, nutrition, education, social welfare and daily care, and further introduce innovative smart technology to assist daily care.It also combines inter-professional medical teams to intervene in children's daily care and life reconstruction, reduce the degree of obstacles and complications, promote sensory, motor and cognitive development, so that children can receive stable whole-person care and ensure personality development, so as to restore self-care functions as soon as possible. and return to family and social life.

Successful Transitions to Society Intensive rehabilitation stabilized health and reduced reliance on high-intensity medical care, allowing 14 children to successfully return to families or adaptive communities.
