FloraUp®-Gut microbiota detection and analysis is an independently developed diagnostic service by AllBio. It is the only gut microbiome testing program in Taiwan that has achieved dual laboratory certifications and is entrusted by medical centers for outsourced testing services.
Current scientific research and databases predominantly focus on Western populations, lacking comprehensive gut microbiota databases for Asians, especially Taiwanese individuals. However, the dominant bacterial species and composition ratios in the gut are influenced by various factors, including ethnicity, genetics, diet, lifestyle, and medication use.
AllBio’s FloraUP leverages the iFlora database specifically tailored to the Taiwanese population, utilizing a random forest multi-decision tree classifier to evaluate the relationship between gut microbiota composition and disease risk. This report aims to provide clinical physicians with valuable reference data for treatment decisions, achieving precise diagnostics and aligning with the philosophy of "preventing diseases before they occur.
AllBio's FloraUp®-Gut microbiota detection and analysis is the only gut microbiota testing service in Taiwan that holds ISO 17025 certification and is accredited by Germany's INSTAND Proficiency Testing. In addition to these achievements, the test has been honored with the National Innovation Award and Taiwan SMEs Innovation Award.

FloraUp is a laboratory testing service that adheres to ISO 17025 laboratory quality control standards. The testing method utilized by FloraUp is based on 16S rRNA sequencing technology. The laboratory establishes SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for every operation in compliance with ISO 17025 regulations. Sequencing data must undergo bioinformatics analysis to ensure QC meets acceptance criteria (R² > 0.9) and that sequencing output exceeds 50K reads.
For each batch of sequencing samples, the laboratory includes the ZymoBIOMICS Microbial Community DNA Standard (Cat No. D6306) as a positive control and sterile water (ddH2O) as a negative control. This ensures that the sequencing data aligns with the standard reference, serving as a calibration procedure for accuracy, sensitivity, and internal auditing.
