Product Description

Nanostructured Silica Release Mechanism and Antibacterial Effects Nanostructured silica, after modification, can release cations and high concentrations of calcium, along with its permanent cathodic layer charge. The interlayer charges can adsorb bacteria, damaging their outer proteins. Once the bacterial structure is disrupted, it naturally becomes unable to survive or reproduce, achieving an antibacterial effect.

  • Utilizing Sistylensp+ Nano Silica Mineral Energy Elements as Primary Additives Conduct research and development to incorporate these materials into various products across different fields.

  • Improving Existing Antibacterial Products Address the shortcomings of current antibacterial solutions and provide the market with superior products.

  • Introducing Innovative Nano Materials Promote the commercialization of nanotechnology products domestically, thereby enhancing the technological competitiveness of relevant industries.

Quality & Safety Testing

Topic: Antibacterial Activity of Poloxamer-Modified Montmorillonite Clay Against E. coli

Authors: Yung-Tang Nien, Yi-Han Liao, Pao-Chi Liao

Abstract:
This study investigated the antibacterial activity of poloxamer-modified montmorillonite (MMT) clay against Escherichia coli and explored its possible mechanism. Characterization analyses confirmed that the modified clay contained approximately 24% poloxamer and was primarily composed of Ca, Mg, Al, Si, and O. Antibacterial testing showed that MMT clay at 2310 ppm inhibited E. coli growth and released a high concentration of calcium ions (approximately 101 ppm) into the nutrient broth. However, the clay lost its antibacterial activity after a single use, likely due to the loss of poloxamer and reduced calcium ion content. These findings suggest that calcium ion release and the presence of poloxamer play important roles in the antibacterial effect of modified MMT clay.
