Taichung citizens
The Taichung City Food and Drug Safety Bureau was established in 2018. Comprising six divisions and three offices, it is the first dedicated food and drug safety authority of its kind in the country. This project aims to develop a mobile smart food safety inspection system to replace traditional inspection methods. By introducing information-based management, it will strengthen internal cross-departmental coordination and case progress monitoring, streamline administrative procedures, maintain a digital audit trail, and ensure that inspection results are delivered to businesses in real time and proactively made available to the public for consultation.
