Regarding plasma and muscle creatine results, CreHytine™'s hydrogel encapsulation using Arabic gum exerts a sustained-release effect, resulting in a lower peak plasma concentration at 1 hour post-ingestion compared to conventional creatine monohydrate. However, because the magnesium glycinate component buffers gastric acidity (raising pH) and protects creatine from acid-induced degradation to creatinine, the plasma creatine levels in the CreHytine™ group remained consistently higher from 2 to 7 hours. This enhanced gastric stability facilitated faster muscle saturation, allowing the CreHytine™ group to reach a muscle creatine plateau between Days 5 and 7, whereas the conventional group only approached it around Day 7. In terms of side effects and tolerability, both groups reported mild and comparable discomfort during the first 3 days of the loading phase. However, from Day 4 through Day 7, the conventional group experienced a progressive increase in gastrointestinal and oral discomfort, peaking between Days 5 and 7. In contrast, the CreHytine™ group maintained consistently lower symptom scores across all parameters and timepoints. Given that CreHytine™ accelerates muscle saturation by Day 5, shortening the loading phase from 7 days to 5 days represents a viable strategy to significantly reduce side effects and improve user comfort without compromising efficacy.
