Description

  • The mission of the Cardiac Children’s Foundation Taiwan is founded on the principle of "holistic health care." Its primary services include:

  • Providing financial support for major medical expenses not covered by the National Health Insurance (NHI), alleviating the financial burden on families of children with heart conditions.

  • Integrating expertise from various fields to establish a comprehensive healthcare network. In addition to medical care, the foundation addresses the psychological, social, and emotional needs of children with heart conditions and their families, supporting their growth and smooth integration into society.

  • Promoting primary prevention as advocated by the NHI Bureau. The foundation organizes annual health promotion activities and lectures to provide families with knowledge on disease prevention and health maintenance.

  • Implementing the「Student Heart Disease Screening Program」to detect heart conditions in schoolchildren at an early stage, enabling timely referrals and treatment at medical institutions.

  • Engaging in ongoing academic exchange with international medical and research institutions to enhance domestic research and clinical practices. The foundation also actively promotes the inclusion of new medical devices in the NHI, ensuring families have access to the latest treatments and care for pediatric heart conditions.
